Mission statement of the State Conservation Commission (SCC):
The State Conservation Commission works to protect and enhance Kansas' natural resources through the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, guidelines, and programs designed to assist local governments and individuals in conserving the state's renewable resources.

Kansas Association of Conservation Districts (KACD) Mission Statement:
To promote the establishment of and give support to programs designed to advance the conservation and orderly development of Kansas land, water, and related resources.
